(KNSI) – The Superintendent of the Sauk Rapids Rice School District is resigning next June.

In a letter to Sauk Rapids Rice School Community, he explains, “it has become clear to me that I am not able to be the father
and husband I expect myself to be and provide the leadership the Sauk Rapids-Rice School
District requires. My family is and always will be my priority”

He goes on to say, “It has been incredibly rewarding and satisfying to serve as the superintendent of the Sauk
Rapids-Rice Public Schools.”

During the two years he served as Superintendent, he oversaw the passing of the Pleasantview Elementary referendum by 71%, the district was named one of the Star Tribune’s Top 150 Workplaces in 2019, and implemented significant security upgrades.

His last day on the job will be June 30, 2020.
