County was recognized at the 2019 Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust
(MCIT) County of the Year.

County was recognized at the 2019 Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust
(MCIT) County of the Year.
Criteria
used to identify the recipient include risk management, loss control, customer
service, property/casualty claims, and workers’ compensation claims.
Each
December MCIT honors the county that has set the standard of excellence in risk
management and loss control.
The
county was also awarded for its aggressive efforts to educate and inform staff
on techniques to mitigate exposures and its superior assistance when claims
arise.
According
to MCIT’s website, MCIT is a joint powers entity made up of Minnesota counties
and associated public entities that pool resources to provide property,
casualty, and workers’ compensation coverage to members. MCIT also offers risk
management and loss control services.
