(KNSI) – The Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota and the Stearns County Parks Department have teamed up to bring you a night of moonlight skiing.
Enjoy 4.2 miles of groomed ski trails at Quarry Park with skiers of all ages and abilities.
“We have the trails lit. There are some bonfires throughout the park. There’s hot chocolate and cider,” said Sarah Weed, Park Operations Coordinator.
The event is entirely free, including ski rentals.
“It allows you to at least try the activity before you have to go out and purchase the equipment.”
Parking is free. There will also be door prizes.
Around 150 people participated in last year’s event.
The Moonlight Ski will be on January 3rd from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
