(KNSI) - Spring has finally sprung in St. Cloud, and it did so just in time for the CentraCare Health Earth Day Run events.
Around 1,500 runners participated in the Half Marathon on Saturday morning on a course that was basked in sunshine and temperatures that kept climbing, and peaked in the upper 50s.
We asked people rooting on runners along the course what the first thing is they're going to do now that it's finally warming up.
"Get the garden in," is how Gene, from Princeton, responded.
In addition to looking forward to getting the flowers in, she says her family does a lot of ATVing and kayaking.
Gene says she ran in the 5K Friday night, but that 13.1 miles is a little too long for her.
As for the Half Marathon, 31-year-old Jonathan Stoltman, of Little Falls, won it for the second year in a row.
30-year-old Jamie Blumentritt, of Eden Prairie, was the top female finisher.
