MANKATO, Minn. (AP) Jarius Wright has played in all of seven games and has just 22 catches in his young career.
On the young and revamped Minnesota Vikings receiver corps, that practically qualifies him as a grizzled veteran and he's acting like one.
Coaches say the second-year receiver out of Arkansas has asserted himself as a leader in the group. Wright is just 23 years old. But offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave says Wright's study habits have allowed him to pick up the offense much quicker than many other receivers on the roster.
Wright says he's happy to help out his fellow receivers and takes pride in studying film both at the facility and at home.
The Vikings open the preseason on Friday night at home against Houston.
