Wolters tops 2,000 career points

MACOMB, Ill. (KNSI) St. Cloud native Nate Wolters became the first South Dakota State University men's basketball player to top the 2,000 career point mark as the Jackrabbits downed Western Illinois University 59-53 Thursday night.
Wolters scored a game-high 22 points, and hit the 2,000 point mark by making a free throw with 2:04 left in the first half.
Wolters added five rebounds and a game-high six assists. He's now just 27 assists shy of breaking the school record of 605.
The Jackrabbits improved to 14-6 overall and 5-2 in Summit League play with the win.
