MANKATO, MN (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings are a case study of how fast the NFL landscape can change.
In less than two years, they went from an experienced, elite team to a young squad that looked lost during most of 2011 while finishing a franchise-worst 3-13.
All-Pro defensive end Jared Allen says he feels he still has plenty of good years left, but he also realizes how his time to win a Super Bowl is running out. Allen says the young players are expected to perform up to their ability and expectation just like the veterans.
Allen, defensive tackle Kevin Williams, cornerback Antoine Winfield will likely be the only starters on either side of the ball for the Vikings this season who are 30 years or older.
