ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - The Vikings have jumped into the free agency party on the first day, and it comes at a position of need.
Twenty-five year old defensive tackle Linval Joseph agreed to a contract with the Vikings. The massive Joseph, 6'4 and 323 pounds, will slide right into the defensive tackle spot next to 2013 first round pick Sharrif Floyd. His contract is reported to be five years and 31.5 million.
Joseph had 46 starts in the past three seasons and was a key cog in the middle for the Giants. He has averaged 55 tackles a season and has 9 sacks in his career. With Kevin Williams, Fred Evans and Letroy Guion free agents, the Vikings needed to address the middle of the defensive line.
