Vikings Adrian Peterson jailed for resisting arrest

HOUSTON, TX (KNSI) - Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested and jailed in Houston early Saturday on charges of resisting arrest, according to published reports.

Peterson was arrested around 2:30 a.m. CDT and spent the night in jail at the Houston Police Department. He was released on $1,000 bond at 10:41 a.m. Saturday, according to NFL.com.

"We are aware of the situation," the 'Bob Hagan, director of public relations, said in a statement on Saturday. "We will withhold further comment until more information is known."
