MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KNSI) The Minnesota Twins this (Thursday) afternoon are introducing the newest addition to their starting pitching rotation.

Twenty seven year-old right hander Phil Hughes has agreed to a three year contract worth a reported $24 million.

Hughes struggled to a 4-14 record with a 5.19 earned run average with the New York Yankees last season. He has a 56-50 record in his career, including a career high 18 wins and an All Star Game appearance in 2010.

Hughes is the second new addition to the starting rotation. Right hander Ricky Nolasco was introduced at a Target Field news conference Tuesday. Nolasco spent last season with the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers.
