MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KNSI) The Minnesota Twins have officially announced the signing of free agent pitcher Mike Pelfrey.
The 28 year-old has agreed to a one year contract worth a guaranteed four million dollars.
The former first round pick has spent his entire Major League career with the New York Mets. He pitched in just three games last season before having surgery on his pitching elbow.
Pelfrey has a career record of 50-54, with a 4.36 earned run average.
He joins a rebuilt Twins starting rotation that includes newcomers Vance Worley and Kevin Correia, and holdover Scott Diamond.
