ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI)  No one is happier to see 60 and 70 degree temperatures in the forecast than Emmett Keenan.

He's the activities director at St. Cloud Cathedral, where the spring sports season has essentially been shut down due to snowy, cold weather.

Keenan tells KNSI News  all sports teams have been impacted--golf, tennis, track and field, baseball and softball. Keenan said the softball team is on its seventh week of indoor practice.

Through it all he says coaches and athletes have been able to maintain a good attitude. He says it's just been one of those unique years where Mother Nature has been in control. T

hat will change this weekend when the Cathedral baseball team plays games--outdoors--at Faber Field. Kennan says he plans to be there--wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
