St. Cloud, Minn. (KNSI) - Excavation is beginning for the $14.7 million expansion and renovation project at the National Hockey Center. Crews are giving the building a complete facelift.
Plans include reworking the south façade, adding a four-story glass atrium, all while turning the building into a regional events center.
During construction, Herb Brooks Way is closed between Fourth Avenue South and Third Avenue South. Pedestrians can use sidewalks on the east and southeast side of the building through this Sunday.
