ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud State's Ben Hanowski and Drew LeBlanc had a goal and two assists each as the Huskies beat Denver 5-1 Saturday to earn a share of the lead in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
David Morley had two power-play goals for the Huskies. St. Cloud State's (14-10-0, 11-5-0) win and Minnesota's tie with North Dakota leaves St. Cloud State and Minnesota tied for the WCHA lead. Denver is left in a second-place tie with North Dakota and idle Nebraska-Omaha.
Ryan Faragher made 26 saves for SCSU.
Joey LeLeggia scored the only goal for seventh-ranked Denver (13-8-4, 8-6-4), which got 31 saves from goalie Sam Brittain.
