ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud police arrested two St. Cloud State University football players following a disturbance outside the Press Bar early Sunday morning. It happened just before 2:00 a.m.

Sergeant Jason Burke says 22 year-old Richard Robinson was yelling and swearing during the disturbance. He was arrested for disorderly conduct after a short struggle with officers.

While he was being arrested, 23 year-old Marvin Matthews disobyed police orders to stay back and plowed through the officers in an attempt to get to Robinson while he was being arrested. Officers used pepper spray and struggled with Matthews before taking him into custody. Matthews is facing charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process.

Both men were booked into the Stearns County Jail. Robinson and Matthews have been suspended from the SCSU football team, which plays a game Saturday at Northwest Missouri State in the Division II playoff quarterfinals.
