ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Coming off a trip to the Frozen Four National Tournament in Pittsburgh last season, the St. Cloud State University men's hockey team opens a new season Friday night. The Huskies host Bemidji State University at the newly remodeled Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

Hockey media relations director Tom Nelson says the first 2,000 fans in attendance Friday night receive a commemorative hockey puck. The 2012-2013 WCHA co-championship banner will be raised prior to the game, and the newest class being inducted into the SCSU Athletic Hall of Fame will be introduced. 

The puck drops at 7:37 pm Friday night. All Husky hockey games--home and away--can be heard this season on KNSI with the new radio voice of SCSU hockey--Dan Terhaar.
