SCSU Huskies secure first round victory

GOLDEN, Colo. (KNSI) - Despite three starters spending the final minutes of the game on the bench, the St. Cloud State University men's basketball team defeated Bemidji State 77-72 Saturday afternoon in NCAA Tournament play.

Sophomore Tim Bergstraser left the game with a knee injury but poured in 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds prior to his exit.

The Huskies will play in second round action Sunday night at 6 p.m. Central Time. They will face the winner of a first round match up between Metro State and Adams State. Catch all the action starting with pregame coverage at 5:30 p.m. on 1010AM WMIN.
