MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Twins have teamed with a local group to sell salads at Sunday games, and give kids in low-income neighborhoods gardening experience.
The Twins are scheduled to share more details at a news conference on Thursday morning at Nellie Stone Johnson school on the north side of Minneapolis.
Roots for the Home Team is a recently created organization that collaborates with three youth garden programs in the Twin Cities designed to promote healthy eating for children living in poorer urban areas.
