ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Former Minnesota Twins player Gene Larkin will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and sign autographs at the Rox home opener tonight at Joe Faber Field.
Larkin played in parts of seven seasons for the Minnesota Twins from 1987 to 1993, and is best remembered for his extra innings pinch hit in game seven of the 1991 World Series that scored Dan Gladden with the game winning run.
The Rox opened the season with a pair of wins on the road at Thunder Bay, and picked up a third straight road win Thursday night in Willmar.
The Rox home opener against the Willmar Stingers is scheduled for 7:05 pm with a postgame fireworks show sponsored by Coborn's.
