ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Both St. Cloud State Husky basketball teams lost their final regular season games of the year Saturday night.
A 68-65 loss to Concordia St. Paul by the Husky women's squad knocked them from post-season contention and ended their season. Jessica Benson scored 16 points in the season finale for the Huskies who end the season at 13-13 overall and 10-12 in conference play.
The Husky men missed a chance to assure themselves a part of the conference championship with a 93-89 loss to Concordia St. Paul in the night-cap. Shaun Jensen matched his career high with 24 points and dished six assists, but the Golden Bears shot nearly 55% for the game and an even 50% from three point range. Huskies end the regular season at 19-7 overall.
The Huskies will play in the NSIC Conference tournament beggining on Wednesday night at 7:00 at Halenbeck Hall. Catch the action on 1010 AM WMIN starting with pregame at 6:30.
