EDEN PRAIRIE, MN (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings didn't win a game last year until the fifth week of the season, so their start to 2012 is already better.
Coach Leslie Frazier brought a big smile with him to the podium on Monday to discuss the 26-23 victory over Jacksonville. He said his happy expression was ''definitely a reflection of yesterday and the way our players played.''
The Vikings had their share of problems but hurried in the last 20 seconds of regulation for the tying field goal and then won in overtime after another successful kick by rookie Blair Walsh. The Vikings have unquestionably upgraded their roster from last year's 3-13 finish. But sometimes the simple impact of positive feelings following a win can be just as important.
