Morneau's not satisfied, but Twins are relieved

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Justin Morneau isn't producing the same way he used to.

Still, the former American League Most Valuable Player award and four-time All-Star has a .273 batting average, 19 home runs and 77 RBIs. Not bad considering the huge physical hurdles he has finally cleared. Problems with his head, his neck, his back, his wrist, his knee and his foot are in the past.

The most important measure of his worth for the Minnesota Twins this season isn't any of those Triple Crown statistics. It's the 131 games he's played, including 97 at first base. This is the first time Morneau has been on the field past mid-September since 2008.
