Mientkiewicz re-joins Twins organization

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KNSI) Former Minnesota Twins first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz is re-joining the organization as a minor league manager. Mientkiewicz will manage the Twins Class-A Minor League affiliate--the Fort Myers Miracle--in 2013.
Mientikiewicz was a hitting coach in the Los Angeles Dodgers Minor League system last season.
He played in 643 games for the Twins from 1998 to 2004, and won Gold Glove award in 2001.
