ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Tonight the last second goal would go to the Redhawks, as would the win.
The first twenty minutes were scoreless as teams traded scoring chances but neither could finish. The second period is where the Huskies found their stride. Midway through the period, Kevin Gravel continued his hot play as he put away his 10th goal of the season. Seven minutes later, Jimmy Murray found the back of the net off of feeds from David Morley and Ethan Prow to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead.
The action picked up in the third as Miami came out and tied it up at 2 thanks to two early scores. The Huskies answered with a power play goal when Miami went down two men. Miami answered with their own power play goal to knot it up at 3-3. With less than 10 seconds remaining the Huskies gave up an odd man rush, and with 2 seconds on the clock, Justin Greenberg drove home the game winner, earning the RedHawks a trip to the Frozen Faceoff next weekend with the 4-3 win.
Head Coach Motzko will join Dan Terhaar live at the Green Mill in downtown St. Cloud with the Bob Motzko Coaches Show, starting at 6pm Monday night on your home of the Huskies, AM 1450 FM 103.3 KNSI.
