Metro Sports Commission: Cathedral advances to the 5-2A Championship

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - It went down to the wire, but the Cathedral Boy's basketball team is one win away from a 5-2A State Championship.
The Crusaders (24-5 overall, 9-0 in 5-2A play) advanced thanks to a 52-50 win over Annadale (17-11, 4-2), the win means they will now face Watertown-Mayer (27-2, 16-0), who advanced with a 51-43 win over Howard Lake-Waverly-Winstead (21-8, 12-4) in the semi-finals. That match-up will be LIVE on the Metro Sports Commission Friday, check back on 1450knsi.com for station listing.
Watertown-Mayer was the number one seed in the South division of the 5-2A Bracket, while Cathedral was the number one seed on the North side.
