ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) – The St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders baseball team needs a pair of wins over Albany on Thursday night to punch their ticket to the state tournament. You can catch the action live on KNSI starting at 5 p.m.

After losing to Albany in the early rounds of the Section 6-AA tournament, the Crusaders were forced to fight their way to the championship round through the loser's bracket and now must beat Albany twice.

Cathedral, the seventh ranked team in the state at the AA level, finished the regular season in second place in the Granite Ridge Conference and posted an overall record of 16-4. With four more wins in the post-season, the Crusaders have notched another 20 win season. Two more of wins would give Cathedral the chance to defend their 2011 AA State Title at the state tournament next week.

Should the Crusaders force a second game it will follow shortly after the conclusion of the first and will also air live on KNSI.
