MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) Ryan Doumit homered, Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau each had three hits, and the Minnesota Twins beat the Baltimore Orioles 8-5 Saturday night.
Vance Worley (1-4) struggled through 5 1-3 innings, but a strong performance by Minnesota's bullpen enabled him to earn his first win in 13 starts dating to Aug. 1, 2012.
Matt Wieters connected for the Orioles, who lost for just the second time in seven games.
Up 6-5 in the sixth, Doumit hit his third homer of the season, a two-run shot into the second deck in left field to give Minnesota a little breathing room at 8-5.
Jared Burton earned his first save in two chances for the Twins.
Making his season debut for Baltimore, starter Steve Johnson allowed seven hits and six earned runs while striking out three in four innings.
