ST. CLOUD, Minn.(KNSI) - After a more than month long search process St. Cloud State University announced today Matt Reimer will become the next head coach of the Husky men’s basketball program.

Reimer, an Iowa native, spent the last 17 years on the bench as the top assistant to outgoing head coach Kevin Schlagel. He will be officially introduced in a press conference at Halenbeck Hall Monday.

As a part of Schlagel’s staff Reimer took active roles in recruiting and operations away from the court. On the court Reimer worked most with guards and perimeter players of the years. He was on a staff that won three NSIC Tournaments, went to multiple NCAA Regionals and an NCAA Final Four.

Leighton Broadcasting is your home for St. Cloud State Husky Football, Hockey and Basketball throughout the season.
