There are a couple big baseball events coming up his weekend with the Sartell "Oman Invitational" and the Central Valley vs. Stearns County League Challenge. This will be hosted by Elrosa on Saturday May 31st. Also coming up in two weeks will be the STEARNS COUNTY INVITATIONAL co-hosted by St. Martin Martins and Lake Henry Lakers. Look for brackets for these two events included here.

On Wednesday May 21 the Muskies defeated Sauk Valley newcomer Foley 13-0. David Deminsky turned in a great pitching performance as he had no walks, gave up just 2 hits and he had ten strikeouts. Jake Sweeter went 2-3 with 2 hits including 1 double and 2 RBI'S and Brian Schillinger was 1-4 with 2 RBI'S to lead the way. Luke Sweeter went 2-3 with 2 stolen bases, Adam Wenker went 2-4 and 2 stolen bases. Tim Burns was 1-5 with a double, one RBI and a stolen base, Adam Schellinger was 1-3 with 1 RBI and Rob Voshel was 1-2 with 3 walks and 3 stolen bases.
The Beaudreau's Saints topped one of their big rivals St. Joseph 10-8 with 4 runs in the ninth inning on Wednesday the 21st, Garrett "Big County" Anderson started and he threw 3 innings and Chris Koenig threw 5 innings of relief to earn the win. Brad Haag got the save, coming into the game in the 9th inning, Haag proceeded to strike the side out. Phil Imholt was 3/4 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI's and 1 walk, Nick Hengel 3/3 with 2 doubles, 1 RBI and 2 walks and Dave Carlson was 3/4 with one walk to lead the way for the Saints. Greg Anderson the starting pitcher for the Joes and Chad Schwegel took the loss in his first relief appearance of the season. Caz Novak went 3/4 and scored 3 runs, Brandon Bloch was 2/3 and Alex Kendall was 2/4 to lead the Joe's.
The Brewers of Luxemburg topped the Cold Spring Silver Springers, 35 and over team 9-6. Cory Wenz picked up the pitching as he started and went 6 innings and John Fish got the save with 3 innings of work. Greg Terres had a big nite at the plate with his 4/5 performance, including a homerun, 1 double and 2 RBI'S. Darren Kiffmeyer was 2-5 with a double and 3 RBI's, Derek Albers was 2-4 with 1 RBI, Brice Adelmeyer 2-5 and a stolen base, John Fish was 1-3 and 1 RBI. The Brewers had a total of 15 hits in the big game over the Silver Springers.
On Friday May 23rd the Brewers of Luxenburg topped Central Valley League rival Eden Valley 15-5 with Mitch Ergen getting the pitching win with 7 innings of work included 7 strikeouts. John Fish got his second save of the week. Isaac Matchinsky went 3-6 with 5 RBI'S including one double, Cory Wenz went 4-5 with 2 RBI'S including one double and Greg Terres went 2-4 with 3 RBI'S. Luke Harren went 2-4 with 2 RBI'S, Colton Fruth went 2-5 and Austin Cicatti was 2-5 with a double. The Brewers had a total of 19 hits in the Eden Valley game.
The Brewers on Sunday May 25th topped Central Valley League foe St. Augusta 10-6 with Nick Baker the pitcher of record. Luke Harren was the starting pitcher and Brice Adlemeyer recorded the save with 4 innings of work. Isaac Matchinsky was 1-4 with a big home run and a sacrifice for 3 RBI's and Colton Fruth was 1-3 with a big home run and 3 runs scored they'd had the big sticks for the Brewers. Austin Cicatti was 3-4 with one double and 2 runs scored and Derek Orth was 2-4 with 2 RBI's and a sacrifice.
On Friday May 23rd the Cold Spring Springers topped Victory league power Nisswa 10-0, with Zach Femrite getting the win on the mound with 5 innings. He had 6 strikeouts and scattered five hits during his outing. Jason Thompson was lights out in relief as he had 3 strikes in two innings. The Springers had 11 hits, led by Drew VanLoy as he went 2-3 with 1 double, 1 RBI and a run scored, Ryan Holthaus was 2-3 with 2 RBI'S and a run scored, and Chris Butala was 2-3 with 1 double and 2 RBI'S. Also had good games were Justin Thompson went 2-2 with 1 double and 1 RBI, Ben Griffin was 1-4 with 1 RBI, Eric Loxtercamp was 1-5 with 1 double, 2 RBI'S and 1 stolen base and Zach Femrite was 1-3 with 1 double.
On Friday May 23rd the Muskies of Sartell topped Sauk Valley foe Litchfield 7-0 behind Adam Wenker's 7 inning performance on the mound. He scattered five hits over 7 innings and Travis Weaver closed the game out with two perfect innings. Grant Mackenthun swung the big stick for the Muskies as he went 2-4 with 3 RBI'S and 1 stolen base. Dan O'Connell and David Deminsky both were 3-4 with each 1 RBI and a run scored scored. Luke Sweeter was 2-4 with 2 runs scored and Jake Sweeter had a 1-3 evening with 2 runs scored.
On Saturday May 24th the Express of Kimball had a big win over their Central Valley league rival Cold Spring Rockies. Matt Dingmann was in command yesterday as he threw a complete game giving up just 2 hits. Matt also drove in the winning run with a single in the top of the ninth inning to score Adam Theis. Adam Theis was 2-4 with a double for the express. Josh Porwall was nearly as impressive on the mound for the Rockies as he threw a complete game and gave up only 4 hits. Ryan Bell and Josh Porwall each had a hit for the Rockies. That is a total of just 4 runs scored between these two clubs in two league games. Just two weeks ago the Rockies won 3-0 in the first game of this season's match ups.
The Express earned another big Central Valley win over St. Nicholas 13-6 with Adam Theis earning the win on mound with support from Andy Dingmann and Ben Johnson. Four Express players had huge days with the stick; as Scott Marquardt went 4-5 with 4 RBI'S including one double and a stolen base, Ben Johnson went 3-5 with 2 RBI'S and one double and Austin Ruehle went 3-5 with a stolen base. Adam Beyer possibly had the biggest day with 5 RBI'S including a home run and 2 sacrifices and 2 walks. Also with offensive support Brian Marquardt was 2-6 with a double and Adam Theis helped his own cause with a 2-3 day at the place including 1 double.
On Saturday May 24th the Lakers of Clear Lake topped the Joe's of St. Joseph 10-2 in Sauk Valley League action. R. J. Cervenka pitched a complete game for the win, he recorded 6 strikeouts. Leading the way was Chase Alshire with 3 hits and 2 RBI'S and Jason Kotchevar with 3 hits and 3 RBI's. Alex Kendal took the loss for St. Joseph and leading the Joe's were Caz Novak with 2 hits including a double and Joe Barrett also with 2 hits.
On Sunday May 25th the Gussies of St. Augusta topped Central Valley league foe Pearl Lake 3-0. Travis Laudenbach pitched a complete game for the win as he scatted five hits and record 5 strikeouts. Marcus Lommel was 3-4, Adam Gwost was 2-4 and Matt Skaya had a home run to lead the Gussies offense.
The Lakers on Sunday May 25th won their third game in the row with a big Victory league matchup they topped Opole 10-4. Riley Voit was the winning pitcher for the Lakers and providing the offense were Riley Voit went 1-3 including one double and 3 RBI'S and Taylor Holthaus was 1-4 with a double and a RBI. Others having great days at the plated were; Ricky Henderickson was 3-6 with a stolen base and 2 runs scored, Jeff Swenson was 3-4 with 2 runs scored, Luke Manthe was 2-5 with one run scored, Scott Litchy was 1-5 with a RBI and Tony Harlander was 1-3 with a RBI.
One Sunday May 25, the Poneys of Sartell traveled to Mora for a Eastern Minny League matchup and they dropped the game 3-0. Jeff Amann took the pitching loss with 5 innings of work, he record 6 strikeouts and scattered 5 hits. Jason Janzen went 1-4 and Spencer Timm was 1-2 with a walk.
The Lakers of Clear Lake dropped a Sauk Valley league game to Litchfield 4-1, Matt Korte took the pitching lose. Jason Systma was 2-5, Rich Petty was 1-3, Jason Kote was 1-4 and Jake Samuelson was 1-3 to lead the Lakers offensive.
On Sunday May 25th, the Joe's of St. Joseph dropped a Sauk Valley League game to Foley 4-3, the only details available for the Joe's was that Bubba Hollenhorst had 3 hits to lead their offense.
The Rockies on Sunday May 25, topped Central Valley League rival Watkins 6-2. The only details on the games included; Blaine Athmann was the winning pitched with 8 innings and Josh Porwoll lead the Rockies offense as he went 4-4 with 2 RBI's.
