ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) – Long-time St. Cloud Cathedral High School Baseball coach Bob Karn has been selected for induction into the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.
Karn, with over 40 years at the helm of the Cathedral program, likely had his induction been delayed because he is the curator of the Hall of Fame here in St. Cloud and never allowed himself to be nominated.
This year, a group spearheaded by Pete Cheeley, got him nominated and inducted. Most who know Karn agree the honor is long over-due.
Karn's induction will take place at a banquet at the River's Edge Convention Center on Saturday, September 15th, 2012.
The Hall honors service to amateur baseball in Minnesota.
