ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) – Grab your dancing skates, the Huskies have a spot in the NCAA tournament, and they won’t have to travel far.
The Huskies were slotted into the West Region, as the 3 seed, which will be played in the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Saturday evening and the winners advance on to play Sunday night. Their opponent will be two seed Notre Dame with a start time slated for 8pm. If the Huskies win they will advance on to take on the winner of top seeded Minnesota and Robert Morris.
The NCHC was well represented as the new league placed two other teams into the field of 16. Tournament champion Denver will take on the top seed in the Northeast bracket, Boston College. North Dakota, who needed an overtime goal from Wisconsin in the Big10 tournament in order to make the field, is a four seed in the Midwest region where they will face the Badgers in Cincinnati.
AM 1450 FM 103.3 KNSI will have full coverage of the Husky – Notre Dame game starting with the Williams Integracare Pregame at 7:30 Saturday night.
