Huskies vs. Gophers this weekend

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A huge college hockey series will be held in St. Cloud this weekend.

The St. Cloud State Huskies--who lead the Western Collegiate Hockey Association--host the University of Minnesota at the National Hockey and Event Center.

Both games will be played in front of sold out crowds.  Doors will open at 6 pm Friday and 5:30 pm Saturday--30 minutes earlier than normal.

The Gophers are the top-ranked team in the country. They're coming of a bye weekend. Minnesota is 18-4-4 on the season, and 10-4-4 in the WCHA.

Eighth ranked St. Cloud State is 5-0-1 in its past six games. They are 17-10-1 overall, and 14-5-1 in conference play.

Game times are 7:37 pm Friday night and 7:07 pm Saturday. Both games can be heard on KNSI AM 1450/FM 103.3.
