ST.CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The St. Cloud State Huskies jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead and never looked back in an 8-0 shutout win over Team USA's Under 18 Development Team in an exhibition game at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center Saturday night.

Nic Dowd and Joey Benik scored first period goals for St. Cloud State. Benik finished with a hat trick, scoring a second period goal to make it 3-0, and closing the scoring with a power play goal with just over a minute left in the game.

Also finding the net for St. Cloud State were David Morley, Daniel Tedesco, Garrett Milan, and Johnn Brodzinski.

Goalies Ryann Faragher and Charlie Lindgren pitched the combined shutout, splitting time in the nets.

The Huskies had a 37-20 advantage in shots on goal.
