St. Cloud, Minn. (KNSI) Scott Wamsganz scored the only goal in the shootout to lift the Colorado College Tigers to a 3-2 win over St. Cloud State Friday night at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

Wamsganz also scored the game-tying goal at the 11:18 mark of the third period.

St. Cloud State had leads of 1-0 and 2-1 on goals by Jonny Brodzinski and Niklas Nevalainen. Brodzinkis's goal came at 10:02 of the opening period on a power play.

Shots on goal were nearly even, with Colorado College holding a 33-32 edge.

Because the game was tied at the end of overtime, the Huskies picked up one point in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference standings. Their record is at 8-1-2 overall. Colorado College improves to 1-7-1.

The two teams play again Saturday night in St. Cloud. Face off is at 7:07 pm on KNSI Radio.
