MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KNSI) Nebraska pulled away in the second half for an easy 84-63 win over the University of Minnesota in Big Ten women's basketball action Sunday.
The Cornhuskers led 41-38 at halftime, They scored the first seven points of the second half and cruised to the win.
The Gophers were led in scoring by sophomore guard Rachel Banham's 15 points. Micaella Riche and Shayne Mullaney chipped in 10 points each.
The game was played in front of 6,361 fans as part of a "Burst the Barn" promotion at Williams Arena.
With the loss, Minnesota falls to 13-6 on the season, and 2-3 in conference play.
The Gophers play at Penn State Thursday night.
