MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) Minnesota has scored 95 points over the first two games. Just don't credit the Gophers' struggling passing attack.

Despite two easy victories, they rank 112th out of 123 teams at the FBS level in yards passing. Philip Nelson leads the team in rushing, but he has completed just 48.6 percent of his attempts, with two interceptions and one touchdown.

The depth chart is wide open for wide receivers to emerge as a go-to target. Isaac Fruechte, Derrick Engel, Logan Hutton, K.J. Maye, Donovahn Jones, Drew Wolitarsky and Jamel Harbison are among the players getting an opportunity.

The Gophers host Western Illinois on Saturday.
