MINNEAPOLIS (KNSI) Seth Ambroz scored a pair of goals and Adam Wilcox recorded 24 saves as number one ranked Minnesota defeated Wisconsin 4-1 Friday night in the first-ever Big Ten Conference hockey game.

The Gophers improved to 10-2-1 overall, while Wisconsin dropped to 4-4-1. Brothers Mike Reilly and Connor Reilly also added goals for the Gophers.

The border rivals meet again tonight in a 5:10 pm faceoff at Mariucci Arena.
