MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KNSI) Sophomore guard Rachel Banham's 32 points led the way as Minnesota defeated Michigan 82-67 in Big Ten women's basketball action at Williams Arena Thursday night.
Banham has scored 71 points in her last two games and has made 19 consecutive free throws.
Micaella Riche added 15 points for the Gophers, and Kayla Hirt reached double figures with ten.
With the win, Minnesota improves to 14-8 on the season, and 3-5 in the conference. They travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to play the Cornhuskers Sunday afternoon.
