ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) – The St. Cloud Tech and Community College baseball team cruised to a 9-0 victory in the first round of the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 13 Tournament in at Dick Putz Field Thursday.


Starting pitcher Adam Harlander allowed just 2 hits and struck out 12 as the top seeded Cyclones defeated Northland Community and Technical College. The Cyclones offense struck early and offense Northland, scoring in every inning except the fourth. St. Cloud Apollo grad Ryan Schneider turned in a big day with the bat going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI. Luke Fobbe also helped key the offense with a pair of RBI.


The win is the 38th overall this season for the Cyclones who enter the region tournament as the #6 team in the country.
