COLORADO SPRINGS. Colo. (KNSI) Colorado College rallied from a 2-0 deficit Friday night to defeat St. Cloud State 4-3 in Western Collegiate Hockey Association action.
The Huskies has gone into the game 15-0 this season when leading after the second period.
St. Cloud State opened the scoring at 4:56 of the first period when Jonny Brodzinski netted his 15th goal of the season. They made it 2-0 just 11 seconds later when Andrew Prochno found the back of the net.
Colorado College scored four straight goals to take a 4-2 lead before Brodzinski scored his 16th goal with 1:11 remaining in the game.
The two teams play again tonight at 8:07 pm on KNSI.
With the loss, St. Cloud State's lead in the WCHA is down to a single point over Nebraska-Omaha and Minnesota. UNO is idle this weekend. The Gophers beat Minnesota-Duluth 5-3 Friday night.
