COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (KNSI) The search for a new head football coach at St. John's University is about to enter its final phase.

Three men remain in the hunt to replace the legendary John Gagliardi, who retired last month after 60 seasons as the Johnnies head coach.

The three finalists will be in Collegeville this week for on-campus interviews.

Eden Prairie High School football coach Mike Grant will interview Monday. He's a former St. John's player and assistant coach.

Johnnies assistant coach Gary Fasching will interview Tuesday, and former St. John's quarterback Kurt Ramler interviews Wednesday. Ramler is a former head coach at Carleton College.

St. John's Athletic Director Tom Stock says a new head coach could be announced late this week.
