ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A 2008 graduate of St. Cloud Cathedral has been named to the U.S. women's Olympic hockey team that will compete in the upcoming Winter Olympic games in Russia.

Anne Schleper is one of seven defenseman named to the squad. Schleper played her college hockey at the University of Minnesota, and finished her career as the school record-holder in career games played with 159.

Team USA will train in the Boston area and will open the Olympics on February 8th with a game against Finland.

The men's olympic team was also announced Wednesday, and includes Minnesota Wild players Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, along with a host of other players with Minnesota ties.
