MLB: Royals 3, Twins 2

-       3 RBI doubles in the 6th inning was too much for Phil Hughes and the Twins

-       Josh Willingham had a HR in what could be his final game as a Twin

-       Tonight is the finale of this 3 game set at Kaufman Stadium

-       Yorando Ventura (7-8) vs. Kevin Correia (5-13), first pitch is at 7:10pm

-       Today is the non-waiver trade deadline, it is at 3pm

-       The Waterloo Bucks are in town tonight, first pitch against the Rox is at 7:05pm

-       Tonight is the “Diamond Dig” which was postponed earlier in the season

NBA:

-       Looks like it will be the Cleveland Cavs at the Miami Heat Christmas day, not a huge surprise with LeBron heading back to his hometown.

-       ESPN is reporting that the Timberwolves are only dealing with the Cleveland Cavaliers when it comes to a Kevin Love trade. Sources say that it is a matter of when, not if, Love is dealt before the start of the season.

NFL:

-       Head Coach Mike Zimmer said that a depth chart will be released next week

-       Teddy Bridgewater and Matt Cassel continue to split reps at the QB spot

College Sports:

-       Minnesota checks in as a 66-1 long shot to win the BigTen this year. Their odds are better than Indiana, Maryland, Illinois, Rutgers and Purdue. Ohio State is the favorite with 10-11 odds.
