Sports for Wednesday, April 16th

 
MLB: Blue Jays 9, Twins 3
- It was the 67th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier, everyone wore 42
- Blue Jays scored all their runs in the 5th and 9th innings
- Chris Colabello went 3-5 with 1 RBI
- RA Dickey vs. Mike Pelfrey is the pitching match-up for tonight's game, 7:10pm
- If tonight's game is canceled, expect a double header tomorrow, this is the Blue Jays only trip to Minnesota this year
 
NBA: Jazz @ Wolves, 7pm tip
- Final game of the season for the Wolves
- Need a win to finish the season at .500 (41-41)
- Wolves will miss the playoffs
 
NHL: Wild @ Avalanche, Game 1 TOMORROW NIGHT
- Best of 7 series starts Thursday
- Three series start tonight
- Canadiens vs. Lightning // Blue Jackets vs. Penguins // Stars vs. Ducks
 
College Sports:
- NCAA council has approved unlimited meals and snacks for all athletes. This is 9 days after Shabazz Napier of UConn made headlines saying he went to bed hungry some nights
- SCSU topped St. John's in 8-1 in Men's Tennis yesterday
- Softball; St. Ben's was swept in a double header to Hamline, while SCSU was on the good side of a sweep against Bemidji State
- MSU-Mankato former Head Coach Todd Hoffner is returning as head coach. He was fired in 2012 when naked pictures of his children were found on his phone. He was then fired and arrested and was then cleared of all charges and found to be fired unjustly by an arbitrator. He had been the Head Coach at Minot State since January of this year.
 
NFL: Vikings hosted QB Teddy Bridgewater yesterday after working him out over the weekend. Bridgewater is a possible pick in next month's NFL draft.
- QB Matt Flynn signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers
- The NFL schedule could be released on April 22nd
- The St. Louis Rams are offering 100k for anyone who can correctly pick all scheduled games with times and locations, plus the bye week
 
Other Sports: Boston police destroyed two bags at the finish line of the Boston Marathon yesterday as a precaution, which was the year anniversary of the bombings.
