NBA: Rockets 129, Wolves 106
- Kevin Love was solid 29 points and 6 rebounds
- Huge effort from rookie Gorgui Dieng (Gor-gee Jy-ang) who posted career highs with 22 points and 21 rebounds
- Wolves are off until Sunday when they host the Phoenix Suns
- Bucks guard Nate Wolters suffered a fractured hand last night and will miss some time

NHL: Devils 4, Wild 3 OT
- Zach Parise had his 24th goal of the season
- Wild are off tonight, host the Red Wings Saturday afternoon
 
MLB: Rays 5, Twins 4
- Aaron Hicks went 4-4 with a double
- Scott Diamond gave up 3 earned runs in 4 and a 1/3rd.
- Twins take on the Mets today at 12:05pm
- Reds closer Aroldis Chapman had a metal plate inserted over his left eye after being hit with a line drive Wed. night. Reds say he will be out 6-8 weeks
 
NFL: ESPN had a report yesterday that Jared Allen was going to agree to a contract with the Seahawks. That has fallen apart and Allen will decide on a NFL team this weekend according to his agent
- Former Bears Defensive End Corey Wooten has signed a 1 year deal with the Vikings
 
College Basketball: 12th seeded North Dakota State topped 5th seeded Oklahoma 80-75 in overtime
- Other lower seeds that won, Pittsburgh, Dayton and Harvard
- Five games yesterday were either decided on the last shot or went to overtime
- Today's action starts with Duke vs. Mercer at 11:15am
 
Other: The St. Cloud Rox named their mascot last night, he will be named "Chisel"
