MANKATO, Minn. (KNSI) Minnesota native Adam Thielen is back in Mankato again this year making a bid to make an NFL roster.
Thielen spent all of last season on the Vikings practice squad. The Detroit Lakes native, who played collegiately at Minnesota State, Mankato, has opened some eyes in the first week of training camp, with head coach Mike Zimmer calling him one of the most improved players on the team.
Thielen says he's taking it, "one day at a time, tring to prove myself on the football field."
Thielen says having a year under his belt and a greater knowledge of the pro game should help him.
Thielen ended his college career as the second-ranked receiver in Minnesota State, Mankato history in terms of receptions, third in receiving yards and third in touchdowns.
