(KNSI) - With Saturday’s walk-through being moved inside, the Minnesota Vikings had the opportunity to meet with 10 members of the 945th U.S. Army Reserves Medical Support Unit.
The Army Reserves Unit will be deployed sometime in September and October of this year.
The Minnesota Vikings maintain a good relationship with all branches of the U.S. Military and reached out to the 945th Unit.
Immediately following their morning practice, the Vikings’ staff and players all went directly to the military members, thanked them for their service and signed a few autographs.
The respect between the branch of the military and the members of the Vikings was evident as the players shook every member’s hands one-after-one.
Vikings’ tight end, David Morgan (pictured below, number 89) respects the military and loves seeing them at practice.
“[They are] people we really look up to and we appreciate them coming out today. For the job that we do, to see those guys in here, it means a lot and those are people that protect our country so it means a lot.”
Although rain is in the forecast, the Vikings and their fans are most assuredly hoping the evening practice is outdoors and open to the public.
After Saturday’s practice, the Vikings have an off-day Sunday and return to TCO Performance Center in Eagan on Monday, August 6th.
