(KNSI) - The St. Cloud Tech Tigers defeated the Rocori Spartans 62-55 on Friday night.

Rocori came out strong to start the game with 8 unanswered points.

Tech's defense had some trouble early keeping Rocori from making shots, but they were able to stabilize near the end of the half.

Tech felt the absence of their all star Brevyn Spann-Ford as they struggled to keep up with scoring, but they caught up to Rocori by halftime.

Spann-Ford was out this game while he was attending his brother's wedding in the Dominican Republic.

Tech led Rocori 29-27 at halftime.

Rocori came out strong once again in the second half, and had a 7 point lead with just 10 minutes left to play.

Tech rebounded and gained a 9 point lead with 2 minutes to play in the game.

Rocori attempted to play the foul game in the final minutes, but it was not enough.

The final score of the game was 62-55 in favor of Tech.

James Kaczor led the Tigers with 16 points, and was selected as the All Star Trophy and Awards player of the game.

Brady Underwood added 14 for Tech.

Rocori was led by Sam Olson with 15 points.
