(KNSI) - Two stars on the Tech High School football team signed on the dotted line on Wednesday, making it official where they'll be playing in college.
Brevyn Spann-Ford signed with the University of Minnesota and James Kaczor signed with North Dakota State University.
The two standouts have been making big plays for the Tigers for years and were a big reason Tech posted an 8-3 record in 2017 and made it to the playoffs.
"I'm really excited, it's really humbling," Spann-Ford told KNSI.
"It's a lot of weight on my shoulders kind of but I'm ready to get to work."
The 6 foot 6, 230 pound WR/TE says the new coaching staff took his interest in the U of M to a new level during the recruiting process.
"I got to talk to coach Fleck face-to-face more than any other head coach that was recruiting me, so getting in front of him kind of won me over."
James Kaczor, a 6-foot, 185 pound two-way star for the Tigers says he knew NDSU was the place for him after attending camp there in the summer.
"I really felt at home and I'm super excited and can't wait to be a part of that program."
Wednesday was the beginning of the new three-day early signing period in which incoming freshmen could sign their National Letter of Intent early.
