Tech Comes Up Short Against Alexandria

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI)- The Alexandria Cardinals defeated the St. Cloud Tech Tigers 36-27 on Friday night.
Alexandria took a 22-6 lead into halftime thanks to 2 first half touchdowns from running back Cody Faber.
The Tigers cut Alexandria's lead to 29-27 on Scott Kippley's second touchdown run of night with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
The Cardinals secured a victory on quarterback's Michael Empting's 51 yard yard touchdown run with 2 minutes left in the game. Empting ran for 2 touchdowns and threw for 1 and was named the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.
The Tigers fall to 3-2 on the year and will take on Sauk Rapids-Rice next Friday. KNSI will broadcast that game live.
